oggi, dopo molti anni di abbandono, è possibile percorrerla di nuovo, a bordo di un treno storico degli anni ’20-’30 del secolo scorso.

Translation

Everyone knows the “Trans-Siberian,” the historic railway line that starts from Moscow and reaches Vladivostok, crossing Siberia.

However, few are familiar with the “Trans-Siberian of Italy,” Italy’s most spectacular railway, which starts in Abruzzo and reaches Molise.

The Trans-Siberian of Italy is 129km long. It starts from Sulmona (in Abruzzo), climbs to almost 1,300 meters in the Apennines, and then arrives in Isernia (in Molise).

It was inaugurated in 1897, and for its time, it was a truly advanced engineering feat, with 58 tunnels.

Today, after many years of abandonment, it is possible to travel it again on board a historic train from the 1920s-1930s.

A slow journey through the heart of Italy, along mountains, valleys, ancient villages, and unspoiled nature.

A journey back in time to experience at least once in a lifetime!
