Translation

Threads, the rival of X, is finally available in Italy as well. After its launch in the USA on July 6th, the microblogging platform belonging to the Meta universe of Zuckerberg gave the green light for signing up to all European users on December 14th.

Just like on X, on the clone Threads, users can share short text posts, up to a maximum of 500 characters, and can upload links, photos, videos, and even audio.

It is precisely from this last feature, namely voice messages, that the first viral “gem” of Italian Threads has emerged.

A user, in fact, responded to the debut post of premier Giorgia Meloni on the new social platform with a powerful… burp. Thus, triggering the first viral trend on Italian Threads: commenting with a burp.
