Il più grande raduno di dinosauri al mondo

Gerundio modale
Gerund to express “how” something is done

“…si sono presentate al raduno indossando costumi gonfiabili da dinosauro”
(…attended the gathering wearing inflatable dinosaur costumes)

In Italian, the gerund can be used to express several different meanings.
One of the most common uses, though, is to express the way or manner in which an action is performed, similar to “by doing” or “-ing” in English.

In the sentence above, the gerund “indossando” (indossare, to wear) is a modal gerund because it expresses the means or manner in which the action of “presentarsi” (to show up) was carried out.
