José Mourinho is AS Roma’s new manager

– “CERCO DI fare il meglio che posso”
= I’M TRYING TO do my best

– “CERCA DI essere puntuale domani!”
= TRY TO be punctual tomorrow!

Translation

With an absolutely unexpected plot twist, Roma announced that the new coach will be Portuguese José Mourinho, replacing Paulo Fonseca, also Portuguese.

The announcement by the club sparked great enthusiasm, especially among Roma fans, but also the interest of all football fans, as Mourinho is one of the most successful coaches of all time: in 19 years of career he has won 25 trophies, including 2 Champions League, 2 Europa League and many national championships.

The “Special One”, as Mourinho is nicknamed, however, comes from a rather disappointing experience at Tottenham in England, and will try to relaunch his glorious career in Rome.

To greet his new fans, Mourinho used the Roman word “daje” on social media, which caused great confusion among foreign journalists and great amusement among Italian ones.
