Taylor Swift named Time Magazine's person of the year

Translation

The American magazine Time has chosen the global pop star Taylor Swift as the Person of the Year.

Swift is 33 years old, and in the past year, she has achieved incredible success with her “Eras Tour,” the first tour to gross over 1 billion dollars.

Some concerts in packed stadiums have even caused earthquakes, the so-called “Swift-quakes.”

“Swift’s achievements as an artist are so significant that recounting them is unnecessary,” wrote Time, “but this year, something has changed. She has become the main character of the world.”

Every year, Time awards the Person of the Year to a person, a group, or even an idea that has “for better or for worse, influenced events the most in that year.”

Last year, for example, it was won by Ukrainian President Zelensky, while in 2016, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, received the honor.
