1,500 drones in Shanghai form giant QR code in sky

È quanto successo a Shanghai, in Cina, qualche giorno fa.

Translation

1,500 flying drones were used to create a gigantic QR code in the sky in Shanghai, China, a few days ago.

On the anniversary of the video game “Princess Connect! Re: Dive”, the production company Cygames organized a bizarre event in which a fleet of 1,500 drones performed choreographies related to the video game, finally forming a giant QR code in the sky.

Not a fake QR code, but a fully functional one: by scanning the “flying” QR code, the audience could directly download the game on their mobile phones and access some game-related content.

For older readers and those less familiar with the latest technologies, a QR code (i.e. “Quick Response”) is a type of barcode containing information (e.g. a link, a message, an image, an online payment…) that can be read by pointing the smartphone camera at the code.
