La festa di San Patrizio

Saint Patrick’s Day

Translation

On March 17th is celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day, the patron saint of Ireland. He died on March 17th, 461.

The feast has always been a highly celebrated occasion in Ireland, but in recent years it has also become quite popular elsewhere, more as an opportunity to revel than for patriotic reasons.

For the occasion, parades are organized in the streets of many cities around the world, where people flaunt green clothing (the color of Ireland), shamrocks (one of Saint Patrick’s symbols), dance Celtic dances, and of course, drink rivers of Guinness beer.
