Grammar

Volere che + congiuntivo

“vuole che i soldi aiutino”
(wants the money to help)

“Volere che” in Italian is a construction that expresses a desire or wish, and it is followed by the subjunctive mood in the subordinate clause.
When “volere che” is used, it indicates that the action in the subordinate clause is desired or wished for, but its realization is uncertain or subjective, hence the subjunctive mood is used. For example:

– Voglio che tu venga con me (I want you to come with me)
– Vuole che io studi di più (She wants me to study more)
