The structure used in this sentence is commonly used in Italian to make comparisons, indicating that something or someone has the same quality or level as another thing or person. 

> art. + stesso/a (same) + noun 1 + “di” (as, of) + noun 2

Here are some examples:

• Luca ha la stessa macchina di Marco. (Luca has the same car as Marco.)
