Donna porta via 8 tonnellate di rifiuti dall’Everest

Woman clears 8 tonnes of rubbish from Mt Everest

Translation

Marion Chaygneaud Dupuy is a 39-year-old French mountaineer. Thanks to her project, “Clean Everest,” she has cleaned over 8 tons of waste from the top of Mount Everest in 3 years.

Marion loves this mountain and has already climbed Everest three times. During her first climb in 2013, she discovered that the summit was full of waste: 10 tons of waste.

For this reason, she decided to do something: she created the “Clean Everest” project, and with the help of 50 yaks, she and her team cleaned the mountain for 3 years.

A real success, but not enough for Marion: “My goal is to finish cleaning up Everest and then start cleaning up the entire Himalayas,” the mountaineer declared.

A very important project, because the water of almost two billion people in China and India comes from the Himalayas.
