Condizionale
Conditional tense

“In futuro vorrebbe aprire altri bar simili”
(In the future, he would like to open other similar bars)

The verb “vorrebbe” is the third person singular of the conditional tense of the verb “volere” (to want).
The conditional mood is used to express actions that are not certain or have not happened yet, but are possible or desired. In this case, it expresses the desire or intention of Davide to open other similar bars in the future.

Other examples:

  • Vorrei viaggiare in Giappone. (I would like to travel to Japan.)
  • Laura vorrebbe imparare a suonare il pianoforte. (Laura would like to learn how to play the piano.)

“Vorrei” is often used in polite requests, especially when ordering food or drinks. It expresses a polite desire or wish, rather than a demand or command.

  • Vorrei un gelato al cioccolato, per favore (I would like a chocolate ice cream, please)
  • Vorrei un caffè, per favore (I would like a coffee, please)
