La Divina Commedia di Dante diventa social

Dante’s Divine Comedy goes social

Translation

700 years after his death, the great poet Dante enters the digital world with the project “La Divina Commedia for social media”.

Starting from March 20th, the fundamental work of Italian literature will be reworked into reels, live streams, stories, videos, and posts on the main social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Twitter.

It is a commendable and risky initiative, aimed at captivating and attracting the audience of very young digital natives.

“The idea,” explains Emilio Fabio Torsello, founder of the project, “comes from the awareness that we are reading less and holding smartphones more often. With this initiative, we want to bring the Commedia where perhaps no one would have expected to find it.”
