Anziana sola a Capodanno chiama la polizia

Lonely elderly lady calls the police on New Year’s Eve

Translation

The Christmas holidays are a festive time for many people. However, for those who are alone, these days can be even sadder.

On the morning of December 31st, a 94-year-old woman named Ileana had no one to call to exchange New Year’s greetings.

So, she called 112, the emergency number. A kind policeman answered, listened to her story, and then informed his colleagues.

Shortly after, two policemen went to visit the elderly woman to personally wish her a Happy New Year.

The two policemen kept her company for a few hours, making her feel less alone at least on New Year’s Eve.
